For 20+ years, Godlyke, Inc. had the honor of bringing Maxon® effect pedals to the global market.  

Known for their reliable construction and exemplary sound, Maxon® pedals became synonymous with quality.  After all, not many companies can claim to have invented a pedal as iconic as the 808 overdrive circuit.

Yet as the market continues to grow and evolve, we have come to realize that there are a limitless variety of “tastes in tone” that are still begging to be satisfied.  

In an effort to expand the sonic palette of the Maxon® brand, Godlyke was honored to hang out the shingle for the Custom Shop.

Overseen by former Maxon® chief engineer (and Tube Screamer inventor) Susumu Tamura, Godlyke's Custom Shop took a fresh look at some of Maxon®'s most popular creations and offered up new takes on these tried and true circuit designs.

In addition, the Godlyke also partnered with some of the industry’s top pedal builders such as Keeley Electronics, Earthquaker Devices, Catalinbread, and Pigtronix to implement their favorite mods and tweaks into existing Maxon® models.

Since Godlyke, Inc. and Maxon split in 2021, we've continued our collaborations with Mr. Tamura, Fortin Amplification, and Scott Henderson over on our main page Godlyke.com.
