They say that all good things must come to an end.
It is with this adage in mind that we announce that Godlyke, Inc. will no longer be representing Maxon Effect pedals.
We started distributing Maxon products in 1999, and through our efforts they grew from a barely-known Japan-only brand into a global force to be reckoned with.
But we were much more than just a distributor – we handled all marketing, artist relations, and promotional activities outside of Japan.We also aided in research & development of new products, ran trade show appearances, and most recently, brought the Maxon Custom Shop into existence.
In many ways, we considered Maxon to be our own brand. However, in reality it was not.
Maxon Japan has made the decision to cease doing business with us. We have not been given a detailed explanation as to why – just some spotty information that doesn’t really make much sense.
Since we don’t really have a say in this matter, our only option is to move forward. We will be divesting ourselves of our remaining Maxon inventory, and refocusing our efforts on our own Power-All, Power-Grip, and TWA brands.
Once we have sold out of our inventory, the Maxon Custom Shop will be shut down, so here is your last chance to own a piece of the history that we created.
We want to thank each and every one of you for all the support and patronage that we’ve received over the years.
We have met SO many fantastic people and will have nothing but fond memories of our time representing the Maxon brand.
We hope you’ll continue to support us in our future endeavors, but no matter what happens we want you all to know that we couldn’t have made it 23 years in this business without YOU.
